Long before vintage became the go-to fashion choice, we were already throwing vintage clothing parties in Amsterdam.

Back in 2011, we launched Klerenbende: a new kind of event where vintage and fun came together. With the purchase of a ticket, guests could take home as much vintage clothing as they liked. What started as a spontaneous idea quickly turned into a full-on dress-up party.

With nothing but an entry ticket in hand, guests stepped into a dreamworld where vintage treasures were free for the taking, racks overflowing with vintage gems ready to be claimed, swapped or worn on the spot. The dress code? Whatever you found. The result? A full-blown fashion party, where every edition felt like stepping into someone else’s closet, in the best way possible.

Kris Kross Amsterdam and many more DJ's set the mood behind the decks, spinning sets that made it impossible not to dance. The atmosphere was creative and always full of energy. Almost every edition sold out. Klerenbende wasn’t just a party: it became a community moment where people came together to celebrate fashion in its most expressive and accessible form.

Klerenbende captured something rare for that time: a space where people could connect through clothes, experiment without rules and party with purpose.
