vintage designer pieces & haute couture

vintage designer pieces & haute couture

Since opening our doors in 2011, Rumors Vintage & Design has been more than just a vintage store. From the very beginning, we’ve brought together the best of both worlds: effortless vintage cool and timeless designer elegance, under one roof. And now, we’re taking it even further.

In both of our boutiques on the vibrant Haarlemmerstraat, our curated selection of vintage designer pieces and haute couture treasures has grown. Updated twice a week, our collection is in constant motion, just like fashion itself.

This is a celebration of craft, of legacy, of design with a soul. It’s about wearing pieces that carry history, that speak of the hands and minds that made them. Here’s a selection of the designers we adore and that you are likely to find pieces of in our stores:

Cacharel Delicate, romantic and very French. Think lightweight floral prints, soft tailoring and airy blouses from the 70s and 80s. Cacharel made femininity feel fresh and their vintage pieces still flutter with that effortless charm today.

Gianfranco Ferré Known as ‘the architect of fashion’, Ferré brought sculptural structure to Italian elegance. Expect sharp cuts, bold shoulders, dramatic silhouettes and crisp white shirts that feel as relevant now as they did in the power-dressing 80s and 90s.

Versace Maximalism at its most magnetic. Think gold baroque prints, daring cuts, chainmail tops and undeniable 90s glamour. When you wear vintage Versace, you’re stepping into a world of bold confidence and unapologetic opulence.

Jean Paul Gaultier The enfant terrible of Parisian fashion. Expect the unexpected: corsetry, mesh, tattoo prints, sailor stripes, gender play, and avant-garde flair. His pieces from the 80s, 90s and early 2000s are wearable art with rebellious soul.

Dolce & Gabbana Sultry, Sicilian and sensual. From corset dresses and lace blouses to baroque jackets and floral silks: vintage D&G (especially from the 90s) embodies Mediterranean drama with a modern edge.

Save the Queen An under-the-radar gem for lovers of art and fashion. Known for their theatrical prints, asymmetrical cuts and rich, textured fabrics, this Italian brand from the late 90s and early 2000s is all about statements and expressive energy.

These aren’t just clothes: they’re couture heirlooms, waiting to be rediscovered. Whether you’re hunting for a show-stopping runway piece or a subtle designer staple, our team is ready to help you find something truly special. Our vintage designer collection is constantly rotating, so every visit is a new experience. And yes, many of these gems are one of one. Once it’s gone, it’s gone.

Find your next designer obsession at one of Haarlemmerstraat in Amsterdam. See you soon!
